Two window washers were saved after being trapped near the 45th floor of New York City's Hearst Tower on Wednesday. The two men were wearing safety harnesses when a scaffold suddenly buckled, leaving them stuck lying on their stomachs. Neither was injured, and they appeared to be resting comfortably, according to footage from the scene. Firefighters performed a “high-angle rescue” ordered by the FDNY, leading them safely through an opening on the 44th floor.
