Bo Ryan announced his retirement as University of Wisconsin men’s basketball after his team’s 64-49 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Tuesday night. Ryan said his retirement was effective immediately and longtime assistant Greg Gard would serve as the interim coach for the rest of the season. The 67-year-old ends his 32-year career on the college level with a 747-233 record, which includes 364-130 in 15 seasons at the University of Wisconsin. Before UW, he coached at UW-Milwaukee and UW-Platteville. Ryan helped lead the Badgers to four Big Ten regular-season titles and back-to-back Final Four appearances in the last two seasons.
