Wisconsin Senate Passes Anti-Union Bill With Nuclear Option
GOP uses “nuclear option.”
The Wisconsin Senate voted 18-1 to pass the anti-union bill that has paralyzed the state for weeks—using the “ nuclear option” that did not require the Democratic senators to return to the state. The bill does not have any financial components, so it does not require a quorum to pass as the budget bill did. This legislation will now go to the Assembly, where it is expected to pass.
