A Guinean singer who was among more than 150 hostages seized by terrorists at the most luxurious hotel in Bamako, Mali’s capital city, said he overheard the gunmen talking to each other in English. Sékouba “Bambino” Diabate told Reuters: “I heard them say in English ‘Did you load it?’ ‘Let’s go’… I wasn’t able to see them because in these kinds of situations it’s hard.”
