Woman Finds Strange TSA Note

After traveling from Newark to Dublin, Jill Filipovic found an odd note in her luggage. The blogger tweeted a picture of an official TSA notification, upon which someone had written “GET YOUR FREAK ON GIRL.” Filipovic suggested that the TSA must have found a “personal item” in her bag, and described the item as “the most basic lady-thing you can imagine.” The TSA explained that “several entities” handle checked bags and that there is “no concrete evidence who wrote the note.” Still, Filipovic called the note “offensive” and said, “I hope they do see the complaint, they’ll look into it and remind their staff that going through people’s personal belongings is a responsibility that should be treated with some modicum of professionalism.”
