Here’s the kicker: the woman’s husband and another man were working on the cannon nearby when it exploded. Authorities say one of the two men was sent to the hospital with minor injuries. Why they were fumbling around with a cannon remains unclear, though the incident reeks of foul play. The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is currently looking into it.
