Woman Killed in Kentucky Floods

Another 160 had to be rescued.

Parts of the southern and midwestern U.S. were bombarded with heavy rain Thursday and Friday, resulting in the death of a woman swept into a creek and over 160 rescues in Louisville, Kentucky. Authorities had been trying to rescue the woman, who was stranded inside her car on a flooded highway, but lost sight of her. Thunderstorms were also blamed for the death of another woman who was killed while camping with family in eastern Kentucky.
