Yasmin Seweid, an 18-year-old Muslim college student in New York, is being charged with filing a false report after she admitted that she made up an incident in which she claimed that three men yelling “Donald Trump,” attacked her on a subway platform. She claimed that she was called a terrorist and that one person tried to remove her hijab before she fled the area. Investigators said she could not find evidence that the claim was true and Seweid recanted the story Tuesday saying that she made it up because of issues she was having at home with her family.
