Veteran 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl will interview Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s senior adviser and the chairwoman of the White House Council on Women and Girls.

Jarrett first met the Obamas when she recruited Michelle to work for her in the office of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley. Since joining the president’s team in the White House, Jarrett has been active in reaching out to the nonprofit community, and leads the office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Outreach. She has been a strong advocate for health reform and economic empowerment for women. Jarrett is one of the most powerful female presidential advisers in American history, and has been called “the other half of Obama’s brain.”

Lesley Stahl is a longtime journalist who began her career during the Watergate scandal and has been a 60 Minutes correspondent since 1991.
