Women-Led Mariachi Band Plays for Trump Outside Trump Tower

A Mariachi band played in front of Trump Tower on Tuesday night as election results came in, waiting for Donald Trump to come out of the building since 6 p.m. The women-led group, Mariachi Sol Mixteco, reportedly wanted to remind Trump that the U.S. has important relations with Mexico. The band managed to serenade passersby for several hours before police ejected them from the area. The group said it was not commenting on either candidate’s performance in the campaign, but rather celebrating the end of the 2016 election in a memorable way. Video of the band playing showed bystanders laughing and taking video of the performance with their phones, apparently enjoying the opportunity to make light of an incredibly nail-biting moment.
