Woody Allen did not wait long to respond to adopted daughter Dylan Farrow's molestation accusations in an open letter in The New York Times. His publicist, Leslee Dart, dismissed the claims as “untrue and disgraceful.” She also stressed that “experts concluded there was no credible evidence of molestation; that Dylan Farrow had an inability to distinguish between fantasy and reality;” and that Allen has long accused his ex, Mia Farrow, of coaching Dylan to fabricate the claims. Still, a prosecutor involved in the case has said there was “probably cause” to charge Allen, but he had chosen not to for the sake of protecting Dylan. In her letter, Dylan Farrow called out Hollywood and celebrities for ignoring her abuse and only honoring Allen. Cate Blanchett, one of the celebrities directly mentioned, responded, saying "It's obviously been a long and painful situation for the family and I hope they find some resolution and peace."
