Wyclef Jean Shot in Hand in Haiti

Before nation's presidential elections.

He wasn’t actually running for president, but Fugees frontman Wyclef Jean is likely regretting showing up for Haiti’s election. Jean was shot in the hand late last night outside Port-au-Prince, according to the singer's spokesman, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. He was there to rally for candidate and fellow musician Michel Martelly. Details of the shooting remain unclear and no suspect has been revealed. The musician had attempted campaigning for his own presidency last year but was disqualified in August. Millions of embittered citizens are living on the streets in Haiti, and will cast their vote for a new leader Sunday.
