When they announced the return of alien-tastic TV series The X-Files last spring, the excitement was palpably greater for the show than yesterday’s Mars water announcement. Albeit a limited run—only six episodes are coming, starting on Sunday, January 24—suspense and hype are building with each trailer release. This latest one stars Mulder and Scully, of course, but also FBI director Skinner and, at the very end, the infamous Smoking Man—proving that, even if it’s only a mini series, and even if it’s only so good, all the right nostalgia buttons are being pressed. After all, it has to be better than that last X-Files movie, right?
Right?
