Yahoo to Be Firefox’s Default Search

TAKE THAT, GOOGLE

Inking a five-year alliance.

Firefox announced a five-year deal with Yahoo on Wednesday to make it the web browser's default search engine. The deal is not only lucrative for Yahoo, but a jab at one of its main rivals: Google. It marks the end of Firefox's decade-long partnership with Google. Firefox and Google have been at odds since Google introduced the Chrome browser in 2008. Their current deal expires at the end of this month.
