TOP 10 RIGHT NOW
Every year, the playoffs are the same old story for the Minnesota Twins. Play the Yankees in the first round, lose in a sweep, go home. With Saturday night’s 6-1 victory by the Yankees, they held true to form. The Twins have now lost their last 12 straight playoff games, while the defending champion Yankees will advance to the American League Championship Series. Who they will face remains to be seen as the Tampa Bay Rays avoided a sweep at the hands of the Texas Rangers Saturday, by winning 6-3. The Rangers now lead the best-of-five series, 2-1. Game 4 will take place Sunday afternoon, followed by the third games of the two National League Divisional matchups—San Francisco vs. Atlanta and Philadelphia vs. Cincinnati.
