You’re Not Tony Blair, Clegg

U.K. Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg can't catch a break since his party threw in their lot with the Conservatives, and The Guardian's David Mitchell piles on by attacking Clegg's new rowing machine as another effort to fit in with the British political consensus. "Brown hair, black suit, white face, plausible smile—that's what you've got to look like, conventional wisdom tells us, if you aspire to the front rank of power. Forgettable, identical, cast in the image of Blair." Clegg had the chance of not only looking different, but being a different kind of leader, but he's doing his best not to act like a Lib Dem. "At worst, they were supposed to mitigate New Labour, not connive with the Tories."
