Police in Zimbabwe have charged three women with 17 counts of aggravated indecent assault for an alleged two-year string of sex attacks on male hitchhikers. The women were found in possession of 33 condoms containing semen, which they saved, perhaps, for ritual purposes: it is believed by some parts of Zimbabwean society to regenerate life. The men, who have positively identified the women, say they were raped at gunpoint or after drinking a drugged beverage.
