George Zimmerman was taken into custody Monday because of an incident reportedly involving a gun. Police in Lake Mary, Florida, were called to a house on Sprucewood Road after receiving a report that Zimmerman was involved in a domestic violence incident and that a threat had been made. Zimmerman’s wife, Shellie Zimmerman, called 911 to report that he had punched her father, broken her iPad, and then was threatening her family with a gun. A spokesman for the police department said investigators are still trying to sort out what happened. The incident occurred shortly after Shellie filed for divorce and discussed their marital problems during a television interview. Zimmerman is not being charged at this time, and his estranged wife isn't pressing charges. Zimmerman has claimed his wife was the aggressor in the incident.
