Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is one thousands of people who have donated to a charity that has raised nearly $4 million to help reunite families who have been separated at the U.S. border with Mexico. The campaign, launched by former Facebook staffers Charlotte and Dave Willner, is raising money for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, and had raised more than $3.8 million out of a $5 million goal as of Tuesday morning. A Facebook spokesperson confirmed Zuckerberg and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg donated to the fundraiser but didn’t say how much each had contributed. The donations are flooding in amid growing growing criticism of the Trump administration’s policy of separating migrant families at the border.
