A New Jersey woman who allegedly murdered her wife with a wine chiller was arrested in Houston following a cross-country bus ride, authorities said Thursday. Mayra Gavilanez-Alectus is accused of beating Rebecca Gavilanez-Alectus to death last week in their home in Brick, New Jersey. Rebecca’s body was found Sunday. Authorities believe Mayra traveled to Houston via bus. Extradition proceedings will start immediately.
