This season marks Francisco Costa’s 10th year at Calvin Klein, where he is its creative director of women’s wear. In a Fashion Beast exclusive, he picks his 10 favorite looks from his 10 years at the house.
Francisco Costa has been the Women’s Creative Director at Calvin Klein Collection since 2004. Previously, he has worked at other top design houses, including Gucci and Oscar de la Renta. Costa has received critical acclaim and recognition for his work and has received numerous awards. In 2006, and again in 2008, the Council of Fashion Designers of America named him the Womenswear Designer of the Year. In May 2008, he was awarded the Mortimer C. Ritter Award given by the FIT Alumni Association to an alumnus who graduated from the school and has excelled in art and design. At the 2012 Accessories Council Excellence (ACE) Awards Gala, Mr. Costa accepted the Designer of the Year Award on behalf of Calvin Klein Collection.
