Canadian Talks
I'll be delivering five talks and lectures in Canada over the coming week, three of them open to all. If you are possibly able to join, I'll be delighted to see you.
The first public talk will be in Vancouver on Tuesday, September 11. I'm reprising the popular debate series "Was Pierre Trudeau" a disaster for Canada. This time, I'll face one of Canada's most distinguished historians, Michael Bliss, author among other works of a corruscating study of Canadian prime ministers through his least favorite, Brian Mulroney.
The debate will take place at Vancouver's Kay Meek Center, and I believe tickets are still for sale.
We'll have paperback copies of Patriots for sale, and I'll linger after the debate in case anybody wishes a book signed.

On Friday September 14, I will be speaking at the Toronto Central Library. Admission is free.
I'll be talking that night about Patriots in particular and about political fiction generally. Again, books will be available for sale and signature.

On Saturday September 15, I will be in Fort Erie, Ontario, one of the crucial theaters of the War of 1812, to debate that eternal question: Who won? I'll argue that the United States did, against veteran Canadian journalist Roy McGregor who should have the hall with him as he argues that it was the British empire that prevailed. (All agree who lost: the Indians.) Tickets are $75, and include dinner. Again, copies of Patriots will be available for sale and signature.
