Bride in Viral $59M Wedding Says She’s Pregnant as Hubby Faces Jail

Millions of social media users watched Madelaine Brockway and Jacob LaGrone got married in Paris—and then learned LaGrone was facing up to 25 years in jail.

A couple who threw a $59 million wedding in Paris despite the groom facing up to 25 years in prison for allegedly shooting at police officers is expecting their first child. Texas heiress Madelaine Brockway went viral in late 2023 when the then-26-year-old Texas car dealership heiress trumpeted her nuptials—which included a rehearsal dinner at the Palais Garnier opera house, a ceremony at the Château de Villette north of Paris, a private concert from Maroon 5, and an overnight stay at the Palais of Versailles—on Instagram and TikTok. Soon after, it was revealed her husband Jacob LaGrone, then 29, was facing three counts of aggravated assault for allegedly firing a gun at police officers responding to a fight at the couple’s home. Two weeks after the wedding, LaGrone was back in the U.S. for a pre-trial hearing, and Brockway deleted her TikTok and made her Instagram private. Now, though, Brockway has made her Instagram public again and has shared with her 47,000 followers that she is pregnant with a baby girl. “18 weeks with our bean,” she captioned a photo of a tasteful gender reveal cake. The next image shows her holding pink cake in the palm of her hand. LaGrone is due back in court in February.
