Former Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt said in a new ESPN interview that he was “in the wrong” for kicking a woman at his Cleveland home last February. “It was just a long night,” Hunt told Lisa Salters. “To be exact, it don't really matter what happened. I was in the wrong. I could have took responsibility and made the right decision to find a way to de-escalate the situation.” Chiefs management cut Hunt from the team on Friday after shocking video emerged that showed him kicking and pushing a woman. Hunt apologized to the woman, as well as his family and former team. If he had the opportunity, Hunt said he would tell the woman, “I am sorry for my actions that night. The Chiefs did what was right.”
