Jimmy Kimmel has offered his own take on Elon Musk’s bombshell tirade against Donald Trump, predicting how he believes the drama will unfold.
Musk unloaded on the president in a series of posts on X Thursday, dropping one claim in particular that Trump is “in the Epstein files.”
Kimmel thinks he knows how the battle between the billionaires could end.
“My prediction: at the end of this, one of them’s in a cell with Diddy,” Kimmel told his viewers. “That’s what I think’ll happen.”
“There’s a huge faction of the MAGA-verse that is obsessed with the Jeffrey Epstein case,” Kimmel said. “They see any list of names, any lunatic posts, anywhere online, they treat them like they’re the Dead Sea Scrolls.”
“But now you’ve got one MAGA hero accusing another MAGA hero of withholding the Epstein files because he himself is a part of them,” Kimmel said. “And what do they do? I can’t wait to find out.”
Earlier in his monologue, Kimmel embraced the schadenfreude as he covered every recent development in the Musk/Trump war.
Kimmel described Musk’s Epstein files post as “absolutely nuclear.” He even read the tweet to his audience and, as he finished it, the animation behind him showed a nuclear explosion.
“I knew this day would come, and yet somehow it’s even better than I imagined,“ Kimmel said. ”It’s like coming down the stairs on Christmas morning and finding a second tree.”
Later, Kimmel feigned some sympathy for Musk and Trump amidst their sudden breakup.
“In February, Elon tweeted, ‘I love Donald Trump as much as a straight man can love another man,’" Kimmel said. “They couldn’t quit each other. It was like Wokeback Mountain with these two, and now it’s all gone.”
Kimmel soon added, “I feel bad for Donald Trump. I mean, first he lost Jeffrey Epstein, now Elon. He’s running out of friends.”
Kimmel joked, “This is so hard for everyone. Except me, of course.”
