Lauren Boebert Drops Restraining Order Against Ex-Husband: Report
CALLING A TRUCE
Embattled Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has dropped a restraining order against her ex-husband, Jayson Boebert, ending a dramatic, weeks-long saga just as she mounts another congressional campaign—this time in a new district. “Jayson and I have come to some pretty strict agreements, and hopefully those are followed and we don’t have to pursue another one in the future,” the congresswoman told a Colorado judge Monday, according to the Denver Westword. The temporary restraining order came after a pair of alleged domestic incidents between the couple, including one in which Jayson Boebert was accused of assaulting their 18-year-old son, Tyler Boebert. He was charged with six counts in total for the alleged incidents, according to an affidavit. The congresswoman also suffered a series of unflattering headlines last month when Tyler carried out a series of alleged thefts and vehicle break-ins in Rifle, Colorado. The 18-year-old’s arrest affidavit also claimed that he sent out a sex tape which featured another suspect in the alleged crime spree.
