Man Charged in Olivia Ambrose Kidnapping Sent for Mental Evaluation
DEVELOPING
The man accused of kidnapping a 23-year-old woman in Boston last weekend has been ordered to undergo a mental evaluation and will be held without bail before he is arraigned, a judge ruled Wednesday. Victor Pena, 38, was arrested Tuesday night after police found Olivia Ambrose, who was last seen at a Boston bar over the weekend, in his apartment. During his court appearance on Wednesday, Pena was crying, muttering, and leaning over a table in the courtroom. An evaluator told the judge the accused was reporting signs of psychosis, but also said he may be exaggerating his symptoms. Pena faces a kidnapping charge and is set to return to court in February.
