A sword-wielding suspect was reportedly shot and killed after injuring two officers in Inglewood, California, on Wednesday evening, CBS Los Angeles reports. The suspect, described in local news reports only as an Asian male, walked into a building owned by the Church of Scientology and had an “altercation.” Two officers were reportedly shot—one in the hand and the other in the arm. According to the local news outlet, none of the injuries were considered life-threatening. Inglewood Police told The Daily Beast they believe the incident happened inside the Scientology building, and confirmed the suspect had “a weapon.” Earlier this year, a 16-year-old boy in Sydney reportedly stabbed two employees with a knife after he was escorted out of the Australian Church of Scientology headquarters. An Oregon man was also shot dead in 2008 after he allegedly tried to attack guests with two samurai swords at a Los Angeles Scientology building, NBC Los Angeles reported.
