Melania Trump is back in Washington D.C. to attend the funeral of former president Jimmy Carter, and her choice of outfit hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The 54-year-old sat alongside her husband, President-elect Donald Trump, in the National Cathedral in the capital Thursday morning. And while some couldn’t help but become invested in just what had Barack Obama and Trump yammering so much, others couldn’t get over Melania’s choice of clothing.

Melania wore a long-sleeve Valentino black coat dress with an oversized white collar, which featured a black-and-white print of a 19th-century neoclassical sculpture of kissing lovers, according to Page Six.

The ex-beauty queen, however, was compared to a “nun” and a “pilgrim,” by unforgiving X users. “WTF is Melania wearing did the nun store have a sale,” one person said. “Melania wearing a pilgrim outfit,” a second person added, referencing the oversized collar on her dress.

A third added even more brutally: “Looks like our next four years of ‘What the f--- is Melania wearing?’ starts today.” Another said: “Did Melania just finish up cleaning the bathroom?”

Viewers also noticed that Karen Pence, the wife of Mike Pence, avoided interaction with both Donald and Melania Trump. Former Vice President Pence has been a vocal critic of his old friend of late, saying in his new memoir “So Help Me God” released this week that Trump endangered his family “and all those serving at the Capitol” on Jan. 6. Even still, Mike Pence shook both Melania and Donald’s hands, while his wife sat there, steely-eyed.

Another person noticed that when Kamala Harris arrived and sat in front of the Trumps, she did not turn to acknowledge the president-elect. “Kamala arrived Trump kept staring at her, she wouldn’t look at him,” one X user said.

It comes after the president-elect slammed Carter in a news conference over his decades-old decision to relinquish control of the Panama Canal to Panama.

“Jimmy Carter gave it to them for $1 and they were supposed to treat us well,” Trump said of the canal. “I thought it was a terrible thing to do. It was the most expensive structure ever built in the history of our country.”

The dig came as Carter, who died on Dec. 29 aged 100, was being transported from the Carter Center in Atlanta to the U.S. Capitol.
