Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu has dished out some unsolicited diet advice to Donald Trump after the looks-obsessed president blew up at the congressman.
Trump’s meltdown was triggered after Lieu, who represents much of western Los Angeles County, slammed the 80-year-old president’s obsession with the Reflecting Pool and called on voters to “punish” Republicans in Tuesday’s elections.
Rep. Ted Lieu has previously infuriated the White House by questioning the octogenarian president’s health.

“Lightweight Congressman Ted Lieu, one of the least respected in Washington, D.C., made a knowingly malicious, false, and defamatory statement that I wanted to change the name of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to the Trump Reflecting Pool,” the thin-skinned president fumed on Truth Social.
Lieu had ripped into Trump’s priorities in an X post on Monday, writing that gas prices, diesel prices, and grocery prices have “skyrocketed.”

“I switched to intermittent fasting and lost weight. @POTUS has been commenting on men’s bodies lately, so I’m tickled that he noticed,” Lieu wrote in response to the president’s Truth Social rant.

“What are trump and his Republican enablers focused on? Changing the name of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool to the trump Reflecting Pool,” the congressman wrote. “Punish them at the ballot box. Repudiate them. Vote.”

Lieu, 57, attached a clip of Trump’s election-eve pitch in which the president highlighted his work on D.C.’s Reflecting Pool and said he was “giving serious thought to changing the name to the Trump Reflecting Pool.”
After adding that Interior Secretary Doug Burgum will “have a lot of fun announcing that,” the president smiled and said, “I’m only kidding!” though Lieu’s clip cut off before.

“Ted Lieu knows that I said it in a jocular manner,” the president wrote in his Truth Social rant, adding, “But ‘Lightweight’ Lieu, his new moniker, didn’t add the line that I’m only joking because he is a FRAUD.”
Lieu responded with mocking sarcasm, making a point of celebrating Trump’s “lightweight” jab.

“I switched to intermittent fasting and lost weight. @POTUS has been commenting on men’s bodies lately, so I’m tickled that he noticed,” he wrote, poking fun at Trump’s nightly habit of publicly appraising Ohio Sen. Jon Husted’s “a--” and other people’s physiques on his midterm panic tour.
Lieu followed up with a dig at the president’s weight, writing, “trump may also want to try intermittent fasting because he’s on the heavy side.”
The jab served Trump a taste of his own medicine after he viciously fat-shamed a reporter last week, telling him to “shape up.”
Trump says he weighs 238 pounds and is 6′3″ tall—giving him a BMI of 29.7, which falls in the overweight category and is just under the 30.0 threshold for obesity.
Trump’s unhealthy diet, which includes a steady intake of McDonald’s, candy, and Diet Coke, has even been called out by his own administration and his own family.
Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told podcaster Joe Rogan in January that Trump is “pumping himself full of poison all day long.”
