NewsNation anchor Dan Abrams announced his departure from his primetime spot, leaving an opening for fellow anchor Chris Cuomo to claim. Abrams said his overcommitted schedule is why he’s stepping down from Dan Abrams Live, which airs at 9 p.m. ET. Cuomo has coveted the spot since he was ousted from his 9 p.m. CNN show. Cuomo currently hosts the hour before Abrams. Along with his primetime show, Abrams also hosts a daily radio show, appears as a legal analyst on ABC News and hosts another weekend show for NewsNation. “Three years after this really unexpected opportunity, I’ve reached the point where it’s impossible to keep devoting the time needed for this show while also running and growing my other businesses,” Abrams said.
