One of the 26 victims in a mass shooting at a Baptist church outside San Antonio, Texas, is the daughter of the church’s pastor. Annabelle Pomeroy, 14, was the daughter of Frank Pomeroy, who was not at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs at the time of the shooting. Pomeroy, who was in Oklahoma at the time, told ABC News that Annabelle “was one very beautiful special child.” The shooting is the deadliest mass killing at a place of worship in modern American history, surpassing the nine killed at Emanuel AME Baptist Church in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2015.
