Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has reportedly hired lawyer David Boies to represent him as he allegedly threatens to sue the National Football League over negotiations regarding Commissioner Roger Goodell’s contract extension. Boies has come under fire after The New York Times said he “secretly” worked to obstruct the newspaper’s reporting on sexual-assault allegations against disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein, while Boies’ firm represented the Times. Jones is reportedly angry with Goodell over the league’s six-game suspension of Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys’ star running back, stemming from allegations of domestic violence.
