Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott was handed a six-game suspension as a result of domestic-violence allegations, ESPN reported Friday. The NFL suspension comes after police investigated reports that Elliott assaulted an ex-girlfriend last year. The Columbus city attorney's office chose not to pursue charges against the athlete in September, citing “conflicting and inconsistent information.” Elliott is expected to appeal the suspension.
