Quick, to the bathroom! After 21 hours, Ted Cruz ended his epic tirade against Obamacare. Cruz vowed Tuesday to “talk until I am not longer able to stand,” although his talking had no effect on today's vote because the Senate had already decided to limit debate. So what Cruz did is not really a fillibuster. (Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid called it "a big waste of time.") The Senate later advanced a House bill supported by Cruz that would continue to fund the government but defund Obamacare.
