A manhunt is underway in New York City after a woman was put in a chokehold and slashed Friday morning. Allegedly, a man grabbed the woman and cut her multiple times on the back and neck when she walked down into a subway station in Lower Manhattan. The woman has been hospitalized for her injuries and remains in stable condition. The assault comes after multiple violent attacks have plagued subway riders in the city.
