Walmart’s Online-Only Home Line MoDRN Has Retro Glam, Scandinavian Minimal, and Refined Industrial Styles

        KEEP THINGS FRESH

The new Walmart line has sleek, high-end finishes like velvet and leather, with hand-brushed metal, Carrara marble accents, and solid wood furniture.

Elevating your home’s style just got that much easier, with Walmart’s newest entry into the home furnishing space. The retailer recently debuted MoDRN, a home line that’s full of pieces big and small that you’ll want in your home immediately.

MoDRN is Walmart’s newest push to break out of their big box label. The line has sleek, high-end finishes like velvet and leather with hand-brushed metal, Carrara marble accents, and solid wood construction. It’s something you’d expect from a curated furniture retailer rather than, well, Walmart.

The MoDRN collection has sofas for $700-$899, beds for $599-$649, barware for as low as $20, and indoor and outdoor dining tables and chairs for $199-$699. The exclusively-online brand is full of pieces that can fit in many different home decor styles, from modern to rustic to industrial. Plus, most of the larger pieces are easily adaptable to your personal taste.

Standouts to me are a mix of the larger furniture and the small, kitschy decor pieces. The Scandinavian Link Double Door Cabinet is a great example of a unique take on modern minimalism, but making it more accessible and easy to place in a larger swath of interior designs. The Industrial Cow Leather Decorative Throw Pillow and the Scandinavian Linear Circles Indoor Area Rug are both things I can visualize in a multitude of spaces. There are even outdoor pieces like a full 4-piece collection that has seating for five, enough to make any backyard into an entertainment space.

Featuring almost 650 items that encompass three distinct collections (Retro Glam, Refined Industrial, and Scandinavia Minimal), the MoDRN line is one you’re going to want to bookmark and continue to come back to as your home decor inspiration evolves.
