I debated the question, "Who won the war of 1812?" in Ft. Erie, Ontario, on Sept. 15 against National Post columnist Roy McGregor.Ft. Erie, it should be noted, is not only a bustling border community, but was also the site of the bloodiest fight ever to occur on Canadian soil. The event was not videotaped unfortunately, but thanks to the dauntless shoe-leather reporting of Steve Paikin (@spaikin - who also happens to host TV Ontario's flagship public affairs program, The Agenda http://theagenda.tvo.org), we have an eye-witness account, complete with photographs. Badly lit photographs, true, but one can't have everything in this life.
