Wounded and facing increasing calls to resign, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh is scheduled to appear before the media within the next 48 hours, his media secretary announced on Sunday. Ahmed al-Sufi said both the president and his aides were concerned that his burns from an attack earlier this month might make it difficult for him to speak, and perhaps even difficult to watch. After refusing to sign a deal to step down from his presidency with immunity, Saleh was attacked in what was reportedly an "inside job," and was forced to leave the country to seek treatment in a Saudi hospital. Meanwhile, demonstrations are still going strong in Yemen's major cities, with protesters demanding that Saleh's sons and other aides leave the country.
