Amid death threats and Republicans at the state and federal level throwing sand in the gears of her Trump prosecution, the Fulton County DA said she would not be deterred.
“The wheels of justice grind slowly. I did not think they would grind so slowly that they would rock the defendant apparently to sleep,” Maddow quipped.
The on-air rebellion by the network’s stars made for compelling television, but that didn’t show in MSNBC’s viewership data from Monday.
The former RNC chief and Trump toady lasted less than a week at the network thanks to an open revolt by NBC and MSNBC on-air hosts.
“I want to associate myself with all my colleagues both at MSNBC and at NBC News who have voiced loud and principled objections,” the MSNBC anchor declared.
Maddow also didn’t think fact-checking Trump’s remarks after the fact was a proper solution, adding: “It does not fix the fact that we broadcast it.”
After tuning into Trump’s live comments, it only took seconds for Rachel Maddow to cut in and correct the record.
