Mark Zuckerberg cosplayed as Benson Boone for his wife Priscilla’s 40th birthday party, and honestly, I think I need to go wash my eyes out with bleach.
On Feb. 28, Zuckerberg, the Meta mogul and self-denying Lizard man, posted a video on Instagram in which he recreates Benson Boone’s Grammy performance of “Beautiful Things”—even donning the exact same baby blue, deep-cut jumpsuit Boone wore for the occasion.
The video opens with Zuckerberg standing onstage in a black tux. Then, two partygoers rip it off, revealing Boone’s sparkly blue jumpsuit and Zuckerberg’s practically naked chest (ew).
After the “big reveal,” Zuckerberg prances around the stage, performing with a live band and even recreating the moment when Boone sings on top of the piano. However, unlike Boone—who backflipped off the piano—Zuckerberg just hops down (coward).
The audio in the video isn’t the track Boone actually performed at the Grammys. Instead, Zuckerberg decided to overlay it with Boone’s new single, “Sorry I’m Here for Someone Else,” because why not mix awkward cosplay with a shameless ad for the singer?
“Your wife only turns 40 once! Shoutout to @bensonboone for the jumpsuit and new single,” he wrote.
While his wife seems to be enjoying Zuckerberg’s tribute to her in the video, the internet is decidedly less impressed with Zuck’s Boone cosplay.
“EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW AHHHHHHHHHH,” one X user reacted. “And looking busted as hell,” another chimed in, clearly not a fan either.
However, the comments under Zuckerberg’s Instagram video are suspiciously positive—something users took note of, bypassing whatever filters Zuck had on his post.
“I know you’re deleting hate comments, Mark,” one user wrote, while another asked: “How many people do you hire to delete hate comments?”
Sadly, I’ll never be able to delete this video from my memory.
