Michael Jackson’s final home, as of Thursday, is even stranger than his Thriller video, sitting atop 13 stories of secret catacombs housing Satanists and gypsies. Diane Dimond tours the tomb.
There are fewer places more beautiful than Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, California. It’s a park-like 300 acres of rolling hills, massive trees, majestic marble statuary and soothing water features. Hubert Eaton, a devout Christian, took over an existing graveyard in the early 1900s, and designed it to mark a new and glorious beginning, rather than the end of something.
Michael Jackson will lie in repose over no fewer than 13 subterranean floors, each holding intriguing secrets. As one cemetery insider told me, ”It’s sort of the opposite of the stairway to heaven.”
But this otherwise majestic place sits atop some dark secrets, ones that, as of this Thursday, Michael Joseph Jackson will rest upon as well. I was able to glimpse an advance peek at the King of Pop’s eternal throne, and the reality is stranger than his Thriller video, sitting atop more than a dozen floors of secret subterranean burial sections housing the remains of ancient devil worshippers and Gypsies, sacrificial fonts and crypts decorated with pentagrams and a secreted area with shelves housing at least a thousand abandoned urns containing the ashes of souls no one claimed.
My recent behind-the-scenes tour of the cemetery was conducted by a man who had worked there for several years in a job that had him into the bowels of every single building, the entire breadth of the grounds, and he knew the place like the back of his hand.

“There’s Spencer Tracy’s plot -- and over here Errol Flynn’s,” says my guide, pointing to the appropriate places. After rounding a corner of one elaborate building, he motioned toward an out-of-the-way flower bed, pulled back a low hanging palm frond and said, “Hardly anyone has ever seen this.” He pointed to a plaque which read: Walter Elias Disney. Engraved underneath: “Ashes scattered in paradise.” Resting below, at the foot of a Little Mermaid statue, was a small stuffed Mickey Mouse.
Inside the mammoth Freedom Mausoleum, my guide points to a low marble bench and then up to the wall where a side-by-side crypt held the remains of Gracie Allen (1902-1964) and George Burns (1896-1996). He explains that every Tuesday for decades, Burns would sit on that bench and visit with his departed soulmate. The simple legend on their crypt reads: “Together Again.” Nat King Cole’s crypt is above and to the right.
Downstairs in this particular building, down into more marble walls holding the remains of members of the Three Stooges and the Marx Brothers, Alan Ladd, Dorothy Dandridge, Clara Bow and many others, my chest tightens. It was like breathing in a heavy dose of musty mold - a rotting suffocating smell that forces staffers to leave open opposing doors so the breeze can carry at least some of the smell away. This smell of death cropped up randomly, in various buildings, throughout our excursion.
The talk of workers on the property today is of exactly where Michael Jackson will spend eternity after his final family memorial service, scheduled for Thursday at Forest Lawn’s Great Mausoleum, inside the elaborate Memorial Court of Honor. In that hall Jackson’s casket is scheduled to be staged under a stunning stained glass rendition of Leonardo da Vinci’s "Last Supper" masterpiece. It occupies one entire wall.
This location likely would have met with Michael’s approval. He once commissioned his own special Last Supper painting and for years it hung directly over his bed at Neverland Ranch. In Jackson’s version he occupies the center space where Jesus is usually seen and instead of the disciples there are some of Jackson’s heroes painted in, among them Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Charlie Chaplin, Elvis Presley and Little Richard.
After the hoopla surrounding Jackson’s death dies down, maybe in a year or more, cemetery workers speculate that Jackson will be permanently buried in the uber-expensive “Golden Key” section of Forest Lawn, which is outlined with a prohibitively tall brick wall. Only family members in possession of a special key can enter this rarified space where the likes of Mary Pickford, Sammy Davis Jr. and Humphrey Bogart are interred. It’s a vast and lavish area of the cemetery surrounded with glittering marble statues and elaborate sarcophaguses.
But for now, sources tell me, Michael Jackson will be stored in a crypt almost directly underneath the Last Supper masterpiece.
To get to that spot my guide showed me a wide marble staircase, roped off to keep the public out, but clearly visible as going down. The first sunken level is where it’s expected Jackson will be held. Standing at the top of these stairs is like standing on the top floor of an apartment building and being able to see all the levels of staircases. It has an eerie feeling to it and, according to multiple sources, this is the route to the secret underground catacombs.

When asked to confirm these areas a Forest Lawn spokesperson denied they exist.
But my sources, including another ex-Forest Lawn maintenance man and a mutual acquaintance of both employees to whom they gave contemporaneous accounts over the years, give descriptions that are rich with detail.
“There is a level where devil worshippers were once interred,” my guide tells me. “It’s complete with devil statues, pentagrams and an area where worshippers conducted weird services.”
Continuing down there is another level said to be dedicated to some of Los Angeles’ original and very wealthy industrialists and their families. They rest down behind ancient hardcore steel gates off to each side of a long main corridor. These are the departed rich who wanted to spend eternity away from the prying eyes of common citizens. Families with names like Williamson and Wilkinson and Miller. According to my sources, the Miller family, of Miller beer, has ancestors interred in these underground spaces.
Another subterranean area, according to the guide, was set aside as the final spot for wealthy gypsy families, the figurines on their crypts otherworldly, and as recently as the 1960s, my sources say, their families would stage elaborate get-togethers to honor their dead relatives.
Many doors remain padlocked deep within this labyrinth but when two workers opened one they discovered a room lined with shelves holding crematory urns for military men, police officers, nurses and city workers who were cremated gratis and held all these years because there were no families to claim them.
Both men told me when their duties required them to be in these underground spaces they often felt the eerie presence of some of the forgotten occupants.
“I’m not a supernatural, ghost-y kind of guy,” the guide told me as we continued our tour, “but more than once when I was down in those places I felt cold and clammy fingers brush against the back of my neck. I knew I was alone down there – but I wasn’t really alone, you know?”
Sounds like a real life Thriller location -- and one whose history would likely delight Michael Jackson.

Most skim the pages and don't read. I saw a post on Yahoo that read "Diane is lying, I didn't see anything in the article about Satan Lovers or Gypsies," and then someone pointed it out to the girl, so the girl came back to the post and said something to the extent of "Oh, Sorry, I re read it and saw it, so I'm sorry..." Hummp, I'm sorry! Geez, it's Just micheal jackson,not the pope. Do you think if Michael Jackson was doing the right things that Diane would be saying good things? The only thing keeping him alive for the past several years was the love of his 3 children. But he could find no relief from years of chronic anxiety and insomnia, and it ultimately cost him his life.

Which planet (or fallout shelter) have you been living on the past 10 yrs to NOT know the answer to Jacko's "normal life" = neither Elvis or Diana either one: colored their skin black or were parents to black children (the way Jacko bleached his skin to be "white" & paid millions to people to produce him white kids); neither Elvis nor Diana tatooed their lips bright red, hung out with and had children as "best friends" (zoo, carnival & sleepovers at Neverland), were accused of multiple molestations, had 10 nose jobs until there was almost no cartilage remaining (reason for wearing surgical masks), carried & was with a chimp (Bubbles) like an infant 24/7, attempted to "relive their lost childhood" for over 25 yrs.....the weirdness list is too long to post here. But I think Jay Leno descibed it best in his monologue one night: "...has anyone realized that Michael Jackson has now been reliving his lost childhood for well over 20 yrs now and apparently he was successful as he now looks like a 40 yr old woman" (and was also called as a witness in Jacko's last molestation trial because Jay [unlike Jacko] is able to separate fact from fantasy).

If you believed everything that these papers printed, you must believe that you were abducted by aliens and that Elvis ran off with Marilyn. Do "special" voices talk to you at night? You apparently forgot that Jay Leno also testified on Michael's behalf...He and Michael were good friends. Michael was just a big kid AT HEART and wasn't afraid to let himself be who he was. "If I had the kind of money Michael had," as one star recently said, "I would buy Magic Mountain and put a house right in front of it!"
Michael had been raised to emulate Jesus in that He said that God's people should have the hearts of children. The bible says that those who humble themselves and behave like children are the greatest among men. Michael carried around Bubbles because he was proud of the fact that he had saved him from a Cancer Research Lab and loved animals. Michael traveled the world visiting hospitals and orphanages and donated over $300 million in charity in his lifetime. Bet you didn't know that in all your extensive tabloid research, huh? Remember the old saying that children and animals are the best judge of character, and it has been my experience that this is VERY true. Every time my children do not like someone, they are always right, and those people who have been the most constant figures and have always been there for me, my children adore. Children flocked to Michael. Animals loved him. That was all the evidence I needed when it came to the "allegations" that he was ultimately ACQUITTED of.
Michael had Lupus, and you should do some research on bone degeneration and Lupus...Skin whitening? Uhhh does vitiligo ring a bell? The star had it for decades. There are many photos documenting the progression of the disease. He didn't tattoo his lips...he used lip liner because he had NO PIGMENTATION!!! You lose ALL pigmentation in vitiligo...He also had fibromyalgia. These three diseases are autoimmune diseases, indicating a genetic disorder. The surgical masks were started to keep Michael's vulnerable skin (from lack of pigmentation) from developing skin cancer. WELL DOCUMENTED.
If Diana or Elvis had had children with black people, the chances are that they might have had children who displayed predominantly black traits, similarly to Michael's kids having predominantly white attributes. I mean, think about what you just said? Michael didn't have these kids, at least the eldest two, with a black mother. Of course they are going to display some white characteristics. Paris looks more like Debbie Rowe, but has Michael's father's eyes. If you compare the two boys with pictues of Michael as a child, you would see they look almost exactly like him. Get your head out of the tabloids! Think for yourself for a change and do your own investigating! FIND THE TRUTH!!
You might want to say that I have an answer for everything, but maybe that is because there is a reasonable explanation for everything he did. Only the people who accuse him of these things are the ones who refuse to accept the truth. Michael definitely had a horrible skin disease, if you look back on pictures you can see it, and that's why he bleached his skin. That's also why he wore the glove in the 80's. His scalp was burned on one side the whole world witnessed that. The most popular man in the world was really a phantom of the opera type figure and he had to get out in front of everyone and put on a show - it's absolutely amazing that he was able to pull that off.
He can be as eccentric as he wants to be, the child molestation charges are BS. If they were true, he'd have had hundreds of people bilking him for money, instead, he had an absolutely bonkers family drag him to trial and the courts rightly identified those people as nuts and he walked free.

Because they had contacted him asking for money, claiming they had no money/medical insurance to pay the hospital bills and Leno suspected fraud. So Leno was actually supporting Michael in the trial. It doesn't even make sense what you say - what do you think he actually 'witnessed' - you mean Leno was in the room - wow - revelation!

I have been to Princess Diana's burial site ~ it is located at her family's anscestral home about 1 1/2 to 2 hours north of London, England. The grounds are only open to the public during the months of July & August. I don't think the Earl of Spencer, Diana's brother, is making alot of money from allowing the public to see the island where she is buried on the family grounds. In addition, to the tour of the grounds, the public also gets to see the inside of the home & stables. The stables now house the Princess Diana Collection, where you can see her wedding gown and many different outfits that she wore, etc.

How can you compare Michael Jackson's crazy crypt and crazy cemetery Forest Lawn to Diana! You are not saying the truth now! Diane's resting place is falling to ruin, and rusting to nothing, and all broken up where water once trickled...you can't even get on the island to see her, and her brother messed up the books and just abandoned the site and left to Diana lovers and societies and city funds to cover costs... that place is a wreck... Forest Lawn, on the other hand, is so wonderful and full of mystery and that mystery can be good and bad, whatever the reader or "person taking the tour with the ex worker" makes of it. If Diane went to Diana's site, it would just as truthful and shocking as what she did for this Michael Jackson. Whomever fed her that idea to do this story was certainly thinking HALLOWEEN and serious subjects of death and hidden agenda, plus how Forest Lawn covers up the facts, and Diane was just trying to get them to come clean... they might have threatened her with legal ramifications or maybe tried to sue her and the yardman, or whomever gave her the "tour"... What a tour, I wish I had been there, to see for myself. IF THE GUY WHO GAVE DIANE DIMOND THE TOUR IS READING, I WOULD LOVE YOU TO GIVE ME A TOUR WHEN ALL THIS DIES DOWN OKAY? Best to you Di... I have totally been reading all these posts mostly negative and I think people just don't want to believe this about Forest Lawn... So what if they have offbeat types in there, it's where Michael wanted to be. He bought the crypt for himself, not family. Family will not be there when they die, they will be over at another location for sure...then you will be able to see them. As for Joe Jackson, his burial place should be a big secret, not MICHAEL'S! I don't understand sometimes how people can be so cruel to someone like Diane Dimond who only wanted to get the hidden facts, and give a true story. This story is true, it may be sensationalized but isn't that what Diane does? Isn't that what Mary Hart or even the oldies John Tesh and Julie Moran (what happened to Julie Moran I used to be great pals with her husband Robbie???) would have done...if they had a grand tour from a person who knew the grounds and I'm sure Diane would not just be like "I'm going with some strange guy to a cemeterey boss! See ya'...Maybe" NOT! You know she had it checked. She's not stupid so she must have seen something in this... and the story comes.... so it will go too! Diane, your obsession with Michael Jackson is quite frightening at this point. It's not enough that you dedicated more than 10 years of your life to follow him and his every move, but now you're doing it in his death too?? You speak ill of his fans being crazy "enablers" who blindly follow and adore him, but they're not the ones hunting down his resting place to get inside and then writing about it--you are. it is a shame that many of the world would FALSELY judge an individual..wihtout knowing truth..but to be only brainwashed by media..it is unfortunate and ashame...michael was and will forever be the child of God sent from God and that God called home...it is ashame the world did not see..and refuses to see that michaels magic was that of the light in him from God...God said to be christlike and innocent like a child!..he said to be pure and gentle..to love equal...and that as followers of christ because he went through trials and suffered so shall we too face the same fate..this is why michael perservered with God upholding him through his trials....God is not sleeping and this is far from over!..do you naturally think in your conscious mind that God would just allow things to happen as they were without someone to face the concequence..that God would just watch his children suffer and do nothing about it...michael did not just quote scripture he lived scripture though he too had flawas and scars..very much human...he emulated christ in his actions of gentleness kindness love..caring christlikeness and innocence..the world is heading downward and fast..it would not be surprising if God indeed did something to straightin this human race out!...evildoers will NOT win!.." So many times or in videos You can see Michael wearing a pentagram, let me explain you what is a pentagram and what it means.

No one said that his personal photographer took a picture laying in it to promote Captain EO, a short film created by Disney to be played at the Epcot Center.

Because I was sent the link and was curious about when and where Michael would be buried. No more, no less. And no...Michael was not a freak. People like Joseph Merrick (The Elephant Man) were constantly treated like freaks but were said to be the sweetest people you would ever know. Michael was kind and generous to all he knew. He was intelligent and gentlemanly and a genius at music, choreography, dance, and business matters. For two an a half hours, Michael UNITED these people. He had that power. He still does. People love him, through thick and thin. People would wait for days in line to buy tickets, wait in line for days to enter standing room only venues, only to pass out the minute he entered the stage. People, men and women, cried at his voice...even the sight of him or the mention of his name. This sort of thing does not happen at any of the concerts I have been to. Yeah they listen and rock out and sing along, but HE WAS DIFFERENT. No other artist has given as much to charity, made as many contributions to society, culture, and racial barriers. In history, no other artist has done so much for the world. He is not just the King of Pop, but a Legend. 9 times out of 10, his lyrics were written to encite the need for change, from Black or White, to Earth Song, to We Are the World, to Man in the Mirror. These songs are powerful representations of his desire to change--even improve--the problems the world is facing today. Who else does that??? Most of the other artists of today make me sick.

Another excellent example of journalism gone wrong. Diane Diamond is nothing but a tabloid junkie, she only reports what she thinks is capable of keeping her name in the news. Just in case you are interested, nothing she says will make a difference in the eternal life of Michael. He has already secured his place with God. She has never been able to come forth and report that she made a rush-to-judgement call on Michael Jackson, and we all know that in the end, it was nothing but an old fashioned case of extortion...period! I think that this is a really appropriate place for Michael's final resting place...he belongs with all the other STARS...because he was one of the brightest stars ever.

Since I read the 3 pages of this post to the end, I blame myself for the interest in gossip. Having said that, this is one of the wackiest, stupidest, non-story posts I have read in a month. That includes reading nonsense from Michelle Bachman, Rush Limbag, and wacko republican senators.
