The Week in Culture
This week, Michael Bublé dominates everyone, von Trier’s Antichrist brings terror to theaters, a rare violin goes for $10 million, and more from the worlds of art, music, television, and film.
This week, as the country moves toward Halloween, things in culture are getting creepy. Kanye West and Spike Jonze have released a blurry video project to the Web that involved Muppet suicide, Nightmare Before Christmas hits theaters again, Lil Wayne is headed to jail on weapons charges, Bon Jovi has a black and white documentary out, and Michael Bublé shocks everyone by beating the Twilight soundtrack on the charts. Read all of this (and always more) inside the Week in Culture.

Michael Buble is very cool. When he was first starting out, in Vancouver, he used to sing at a bar called Babalu. After the show was over he'd be on the street hawking his first CD. Really.
He grew up in Burnaby, B.C. which is right next door to Vancouver.
That picture of Lil Wayne is not Lil Wayne. Sometimes the lack of proofing on this website baffles me...Probs someone should fix this little mix-up, and hire people who pay attention.
That is Lil Wayne... what are you looking at? Notice the tattoo in middle of his forehead?
Saw Amelia this weekend even after hearing the terrible reivews. My experience is that they were unfounded. We particularly liked Ms. Swanks pacing on the dlivery of her lines. The piece was beautiful to watch and left us feeling emotionally sad, yet inspired. While we may have help to fulfill our calling, in the end it is up to us. I would suggest viewing the movie. Films are very difficult to make. This one is worth the $10.
"Films are very difficult to make!"
Amazing, priceless inclusion in a feeble positive review.
Anyone who still thinks Hilary Swank is a good actress should watch the Affair of the Necklace; Conversely, nobody else should ever watch the Affair of the Necklace.
Thank you.
