The Week In Culture
This week, Adam Lambert grinds into controversy, Carla Bruni teams up with Woody Allen, and the Muppets cover Queen. VIEW OUR GALLERY of the best in music, art, theater, and film.
There was plenty of culture that caused us to give thanks this week: The Muppets covered “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Jennifer Hudson got to sing at the White House, the Fela Kuti musical is a shining success, and a new auction of Yves Saint Laurent’s art set yet another sales record. Some are so good, you’ll want to go back for seconds.

Can we all please just cop to it: at least 90% of the population finds men lip-locking with men pretty repellent. It's just human nature.
How many male homosexual moves with explicit sex scenes are monster hits? Not even brokeback.
Girls kissing girls. Not so bad. Bring it on.

America's reaction to Adam Lambert is quite clear: most of America was repulsed by this display and angry. Good luck with that Gay Marriage Thing!
lachica6
Im disgusted by the whole thing.

Gimme a break. This is no different than Madonna and Brittney's kiss that so many guys got off on.
What cracks me up most is all these guys who are so threatened by this stunt (or, more likely, doubtful about their own sexuality) whining like little girls about being "repulsed". Sounds more than a little Freudian to me
Lambert has an extraordinary talent, and this is one of the most successful publicity stunts I've ever seen.

His "extraordinary talent" apparently meaning that 1: he's gay and 2: he's an American Idol has-been... those are the only 2 reasons why he is famous today. If he were straight, not only would nobody still not give a shit about him, but nobody would know who he was in the first place!
RegisteredIndependent
The reason he's famous is that he's one of the best singers to emerge onto the scene in years. Don't let your homophobia or self doubt get the best of you.

The Muppets' cover of Queen's Bohemian Rapsody was so full of epic win that my computer almost exploded from all the awesomeness of it!

Just a correction:
Disney owns the "Muppets" - the classic Muppet Show/movie characters: Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo, Pepe, etc.

The Sesame Workshop owns the "Muppets of Sesame Street" - Elmo, Oscar, Big Bird, Bert, Grover, etc

The Jim Henson Company retains all the other non-Muppet properties - Fraggle Rock, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, The Storyteller, etc.
Thank you.
