Prince William and Kate continue with their determination to do things their way, with news today that baby George will be christened without the usual compliment of senior royal uncles and aunts.
The Queen's daughter Anne, the Princess Royal, will be in Canada for a series of engagements in and around Toronto, while the Countess of Wessex will spend the day carrying out official duties in Somerset, Devon and Bristol, according to a an exclusive report in today's Daily Mail by Rebecca English.
The paper adds:
Prince William’s aunts, Princess Anne and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, have been left off the guest list, the Mail was told last night.
And although Buckingham Palace refused to comment, it seems George’s great-uncles, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, are also not attending
Still, the fact that senior royals have been left off the invite list for the ceremony, due to take place on 23 October, is bound to raise a few eyebrows at the Palace.
In not breaking news, we confidently predict that Fergie won't be there.
