Public School Awarded Woolmark Prize: Top rising talent in womenswear have been taking home the Woolmark Prize for 50 years, but this year the award began recognizing the top tier of menswear newcomers. Taking home the first-ever prize was the design duo behind Public School, Dao-Yi Chao and Maxwell Osbourne, who were also awarded the coveted CFDA Menswear Designer Award of the Year. Public School, as well as the womenswear winner, Marcia Patmos of M. Patmos, were each awarded $47,000 and will move on to compete for the international title in January and March, respectively. Kate Bosworth Launches Style App: Easing our street style envy, actress Kate Bosworth has introduced Style Thief, an app that allows users to snap a photo of outfits and, through a quick image search, shop the look. “Everyone has fashion envy,” she told WWD, “Everyone can relate to that feeling of looking at an editorial, for example—or a friend, or the runway, for that matter—wanting to steal something exactly as you’re seeing it, or something similar.” [WWD]
