Given The Choice Between a Screaming Baby And The Frozen Wastes....

Prince Harry has given a video interview from the South Pole to UK media saying that his brother Prince William is 'quite jealous' of his Antarctica expedition, but only because it means he doesn't have to endure "a screaming child".

Good to see that the brothers are not done with ribbing each other as publicly as possible.

He also described breaking his toe in the run-up to the trip as 'a massive fail' but said he got little sympathy from his teammates - all of whom are missing limbs as a result of military action.

In his first interview from Antarctica, Harry said: "My brother, yeah, I think he's just quite jealous that I managed to get away from a screaming child."

He also spoke about the anxieties of his dad, saying, "My father was a little concerned, but I obviously tried to keep him calm and explain the North Pole was the dangerous one because we're walking on a frozen ocean whereas this time there are crevasses. But hopefully the guides will take us around that. Apart from frostbite you should be able to look after yourself as long as you just head south."

Harry said: "Every single person who takes part in this challenge is extraordinary. The fact these guys have made it to this point is extraordinary and I count myself incredibly lucky to be part of it."

Speaking of the 'massive fail' his broken toe he said, "If I mention my toe I see Duncan turn around laugh at me, mock me, so whatever setbacks I've had is irrelevant against these guys, it was always going to be."

The British, Commonwealth and US teams are due to head to the start of the race tomorrow and begin their 210-mile race to the South Pole, which wil see them walking 10 - 15 miles a day through temperatures as low as -40F at the weekend.
