Kristen Stewart Mocks Trump’s Obsession with Her on SNL: ‘The President Tweeted About Me Eleven Times’
The acclaimed actress addressed the president’s bizarre obsession—really, it was nuts—with her ‘Twilight’ breakup on the most recent edition of ‘Saturday Night Live.’

“I’m a little nervous to be hosting because I know that the president’s probably watching and, um, I don’t think he likes me that much. Here’s how I know.”
That’s how Kristen Stewart, the gifted star of Adventureland and Clouds of Sils Maria, opened her monologue for Saturday Night Live. The 26-year-old actress was, of course, addressing President Donald Trump’s completely bizarre obsession with her much-ballyhooed breakup from her Twilight costar, Robert Pattinson.
Yes, POTUS is apparently a Twihard. Which is, you know, super macho.“Four years ago I was dating this guy Rob—Robert—and we broke up and then we got back together, and for some reason it made Donald Trump go insane,” shared Stewart. “Here’s what he actually tweeted, and this is real”:
Trump tweeted that. Then again, the portly real estate heir has always been obsessed with popular culture—especially attractive young A-list stars, or something he’ll never be. Trump also tweeted a zillion times about Katy Perry’s divorce from Russell Brand. Because god knows why.
“Now I know what you’re thinking, right? That’s so crazy! The president tweeted about you once!” exclaimed Stewart on SNL. “No, no, no. The president tweeted about me eleven times.”

Yep. That happened. There are more. This was a three-month obsession for Donald Trump, who also filmed some (since deleted) Vine videos about the tabloid breakup. Then again, perhaps Trump just had a fascination with Stewart’s remarkably well-coiffed British boyfriend—the man otherwise known as sparkly vampire Edward Cullen.
“OK. So to be fair, I don’t think Donald Trump hated me,” said Stewart, “I think he’s in love with my boyfriend, because he also tweeted this”:
“So yeah, that’s crazy, right? The president is not a huge fan of me,” joked Stewart. “But that is so OK, and Donald, if you didn’t like me then, you’re really probably not going to like me now, because I’m hosting SNL and I’m like, so gay dude.”
