A man went on a racist rant at a Muslim family on a Texas beach, BuzzFeed News reported Wednesday.

The family was on vacation for a reunion on South Padre Island when a stranger named Alexander Downing approached them.

“You’re in my country. You want to fuck with my country?” he yelled out of nowhere. “You’re a fucking Muslim. Fucker.”

He continues, “You will never, ever, stop me, my Christianity, from rising above your Sharia law. Your Sharia law don’t mean shit to me.”

Sharia, which is Islamic law, and a common religious code of conduct, has recently been used as a fear-inducing term tied to anti-Western beliefs.

Does Downing stop there? Nope. He brings in The Donald.

“Donald Trump will stop you! DONALD TRUMP WILL STOP YOU!... Donald Trump got you motherfuckers. Watch,” Downing says, smiling.

Noria Alward, a 19-year-old member of the attacked family, captured Downing’s racist rant on video. The footage shows him drunkenly and aggressively yelling and charging at Alward’s family.

At one point, Downing screams, “Come fuck with Donald Trump!” while beating his chest like a gorilla.

The family remained calm throughout the interaction, calling 911 when Downing left for the South Padre Hotel—the hotel where they were also staying.

BuzzFeed News confirmed that Downing was taken into custody for public intoxication, but despite the arrest, he was found in the hotel lobby the next day.

“The hotel did not do anything to protect us,” Ahmed, a family member who withheld his last name for fear of further harassment, told BuzzFeed. He claims the hotel staff told him they would evict Downing when he returned from his arrest.

“When he called it ‘his country’... It is my country, too,” Ahmed said. “America is my country, whether he likes it or not.”

Downing could not be reached for comment.
