Five years after Sarah Palin took over Jay Leno’s Tonight Show monologue with some jokes of her own, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly lent a hand to Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday by sharing his own demands for the next Republican debate. Demands that put more pressure on the candidates and less on the supposedly biased media.
“Here’s the first demand: Stop complaining!” O’Reilly grunted, alluding to the set of petty demands put forward by the Republican National Committee last week. “Come on! You guys are starting to sound like a bunch of Democrats out there.”
The Fox anchor also presented one point specifically directed at Donald Trump:
“You gotta take it down to about a six, all right?” the infamously raucous personality stated. “If anybody gets to yell that loud on Fox News, it should be me!”
Later in the show, O’Reilly expanded on his criticism during his sit-down interview with Fallon.
“These guys have got to stop whining,” he said. “If you think you’re being treated unfairly, you got a microphone. Let them have it.”
